TT vs Viper
SubscribeHi, I am new to this board, and am a new owner of an 02 996TT, silver, 6speed, carbon fiber, subtle leather, love the car....not a first time TT owner, have owned an 02 in the past, along with a 993 tt.....love the cars....anyway, a friend of mine just bought a 2004 Viper, "mamba edition".....white with the red and black interior.... we live in Fla., flew up with him to get it and drive it back from Md. was a fun trip....like the raw horsepower of the Viper, but love the refined power of the TT.......2 total different cars, Viper was fun to drive, but hard to get in and out of...what do you guys think about the comparison between the two? Again I am glad to be aboard, seems like a good group of guys on here.....
The Mamba is certainly faster, the Porsche more refined.
Was that trip from MD to FL hot? I haven't been in a new Viper, but the old ones got so freakin' hot inside.
I bet your ears were ringing after from that wonderful exhaust note. I love the way Vipers sound. I would htink a long drive would be taxing though.

I think its just a limited color.
The "Mamba" is a numbered 200 car run with a special interior (red and black). The exterior is either White or Black. No other differences, just a colored interior.
I drove both of mine today ... the Porsche is much more refined, the Viper is very Raw. It is hard to get in and out of and is almost too simple. My kids like the Viper better and, believe it or not, the Viper gets more attention on the road.
I would say the Viper is faster stock for stock but since my Porsche is modified and the Viper suffers at this altitude I can not do a back to back comparison. At sea level I would give the edge to the Viper.
