It is 996TT with full Moton setup. I had it raised 10mm all around so it is more practical to drive around town without hitting the bumps etc.

Then had it on a local shop known for their alignment machine, i.e. Beissbarth, align it. The first time I got the car back I immediately noticed the car pulls little but consistent to the right no matter what the crown on the road is pointing.

Then yesterday, I took the car back to them and they redid the alignment and this time I had the service guy drive the car with me, still pulls to the right and even he admits it.

I am a bit frustrated and disappointed but was also hoping you guys could help with some specs and/or suggestions as what may be the root cause of this.

I had this problem with my car and after a couple of alignments it turned out to be the tires. My tech switched the 2 front tires to opposite sides and that solved it. Said something about tire bias. See if that works.

 

if it didn't pull before the alignment then it sounds like the front toe is out...did they give you a readout of the post alignment settings? the only other possibility is that prior to the alignment the settings were off enough that you ruined some tires....a very close visual inspection of the tires should reveal some very uneven wear patterns...and as suggested...switch the fronts and see if the pull goes the other way....I would think if the alignment was off enough to ruin your tires you would have had some handling issues prior to the alignment...you probably need to find a more competant shop (they should have known to switch the fronts and see if the pull went the other direction)

 

I had the same problem on my car... first alignment by an indy, second alignment by a Porsche dealer; they both alignment the car to spec but she was pulling to the right a little. The worse thing was after the second one, the steering wheel was pointing slightly to the left (and the car pulled slightly to the right)... just imagine how that feel.

The third alignment was done at a race shop/tire/alignment place, well known in the Bay Area. He didn't aligned my car by spec, but by experience (didn't even look at any manuals). My car is straight as an arrow now... and don't take that bs that CA roads are sloping to the right.

 

I had the exact same problem. Had the car re aligned after lowering and new suspension. Not as noticeable before but after the suspension change it was very noticeable.

Original shop tired to convince me there was no issue. I went to a second well regarded alignment shop and after a 5 minute test drive the guy instantly knew it was a bad sidewall on my front tire. This is why the the first shop said there was no issue. The alignment was correct it was a tire issue.

 

First of all, check the tire pressure.

2nd. Could be the belts shifting in the tire.

 

I second the tire pressure. Once lowered it isi even more critical as I found out. Now there is the off chance that they screwed up the alignment. I hd an alignment done on my 993 and the settings in the rer were reversed with regards to toe in. That sucked when I hit water

Was told this by my dealer. I am running 255 up front and 315 in rear.

 

255 up front that seems like a tall tire?

I would assume the OP checked the tire pressure before posting this thread. I check my tire pressure like once a week.

 

the simple diagnostic here is to swap the front wheels...if it then pulls to the left it is the left front tire or wheel if it still pulls to the right then it is either alignment or something is wrong in the rear...swap the rear wheels...if it pulls left then it is the left rear tire/wheel...if it still pulls right then it is suspension or alignment...good luck
