Plug Replacement...

Hi Everyone,
Curious when everyone is finding it necessary to replace their plugs... I am approching 20K miles (still on the original stock plugs) and the car feels fine. Just wondering when I can expect to have to deal with it.

For sure man... on modded cars like ours I do them ever 6k. It only helps to have non-fouled plugs I'm sure you're runnin' plenty rich too. I would also make sure to get the Bosch 6s (I think by the 2002 years Porsche switched to those from the ****ty 5s). Whatever you do don't get the French Berus...

PS I should add, Kevin showed me how to change them out with the minimal fuss He has some nice tricks up his sleeve...

So I take it I am a bit overdue??? Guess I will do it with my next oil change.....
I don't know when all these things are due because my familly has never had a car long enough to deal with service . My dad flips his cars so often they never see 5K let alone 20K. Whats scary is my pops has had Porsche's since '89 (944 Turbo S) and I have more miles on my car than almost all of his combined (5 or 6 of um).

Hmm well the dealer charges a lot because they do it by the book. If you do it Kevin's way and don't remove everything and just squeeze in there it's a good 2-3 hours. I'm sure Kevin's faster tho

Damn Stephen... we should video you and Kevin on either side and see who wins That's pretty fricking fast!

PS I'll send a memo out to all the Porsche Dealers saying "New technique. The removal of old Spark plugs and replacement with new ones should only take 45minutes!" and see how they like THAT

Dealer quoted a guy here locally 8 hours. I had him off the lift and paid in an hour. He was pleased. I know even lolly gagging around it only takes an 1.5 hours at worst. They also couldn't figure out the clunk. Lose drop link.
