On GT28, what tune, what injectors are used? What boost?

Quote: I will let Vince respond. He ordered a new ECU, its coming in tommorow. The car runs fine but sometimes in 1st and 3rd gear it stalls and throttle is cut off.

R6 race was from roll 40 - 130 , E63 was from roll as well.

Cant wait to see the cobb mid pipe GTR race today..

Quote: Now this will be a good race. Gotta show some videos on this one. We have a GT28 vs. K24/18, similar set up. My bet is on the GT28 since I used to have one and raced K series turbos No K series came close to me
Art, I agree if the Tial GT28 car is a 6 speed car. But with tiptronic the loss of power coming down to the wheels is much higher than a similarly setup 6 speed car.

A similar setup k24/18g car is TTboost's car which makes 70 more HP and 40 More TQ than the alpha tip car on the same dyno. It has the same meth inj, EPL custom tune, Injectors etc...

I know its going to be close when racing a Protomotive 18g car with just a 5 bar, but just too hard to predict in this case. To me it feels like the 6 speed car pulls harder...but its pure speculation. We will know soon.

Art we are not racing Mike's car. We are racing a O-Oce's Protomotive car, This car in the Video..

I just made a reference to Mike's car ...saying if it raced his car then the 6 speed will win.

Nice video but we have a crazy M3 around our neck of the woods that will give that proto car a run for his money. It put down 850rwhp, single turbo, and meth injected. I will run this car after my set up is completed but will give him two cars

Hi guys,

The car is fast, It seems to stall out from time to time or buck a little. There are two problems that I found with the car, one the DME is bad and the other is that the battery on the car is the wrong size. I will be replacing both parts and seeing what happens. I cant wait to run the GTR today, it has the HKS 650 kit on it. From what I understand, a custom tune, mid-pipes, exhaust, DV, and some other small stuff. I think it will be fun.

By the way, when Vinod says the car launches hard its not from a dead stop this is at 40-50mph all four wheels break loose! The race with the R6 was a surprise to me and the driver of the bike. He instantly pulled on me the within a second or two I started to reel him in by about 110 i ended up passing him up. I shut down, he pulled up shaking his head and give me a thumbs up.

I am making a custom tranny cooler, it maybe on as early as next week and at that point I will take it to the dragstrip.

Anyone have a V-box that I can use, Im willing to pay. I really want to know the 60-130 times. Markski?

-Vince

Hey Vin,
Glad you like it. You may have to try 60-130 a few times to find the best way, Auto vs Tip. Probably faster letting it shift by itself, but you never know. Racing bikes is fun stuff, especially for me being a bike guy. I absolutely slaughter 600 and 750's from a roll. I am looking for a stock 1000 now just to see. I'm sure I won't be close, but curious as to how close. Brake boosting gives you a tremendous advantage if you can figure it out.

I'm a bike guy too. 600s and 750s shouldn't be a problem although they will jump out ahead of you initially. Now the liter bikes are a different story entirely. I had a R6 and now have a 06, GSXR 1000. The bike is scary fast but it might be possible to catch them (liter bikes) at higher speeds as the Porsche is much more aerodynamic.

I've been dragracing bikes for 20yrs now,(mostly turbo bikes) just for fun. I have an 01 GSXR1000 with a stroker motor now. I think my car in its current tune, against a stock GSXR1000 would be a pretty good race from a 40-50mph roll, if I brake boost. Over 100mph, I think I could keep ahead. I'm trying to find someone to go out with me. I have raced many 600's on the highway from 60-70 and I pull away immediately.

How do you get your car to brake boost? If I push the brake and the gas at the same time the throttle just shuts down to nothing.
