Thumbs up 2001 996 Turbo Midnight Blue/blk int with mods

It is time to sell my beloved 996 Turbo:

Purchase a piece of History !! (taken from Buddy G. school of marketing)
WPOAB29941S686951
engine serial number: 64105488
Original sticker price: $120,810 (I have copy of original sticker)
51,000 miles
Midnight Blue Metallic/black interior with small carbon fibre package
including steering wheel, dash surround, and e-brake.
Full Protomotive "700 Kit" installed, tuned and dynoed by Protomotive @ Protomotive: This Kit includes the following;
full custom intake system, Y-pipe, FORD MAF, 997 N/A (75mm) throttle body, modified fuel rails, 60 lb. injectors, Additional Bosch #044 fuel pump and associated lines, Greddy Boost Controller, HUGE PROTOMOTIVE
INTERCOOLERS with Bailey Motorsports DV30 diverter valves, K24/18g's
with new EVOMS actuator rods. (the entire bill @ Proto was $31,513.oo)

I also added/replaced at or about the same time: (40,300 miles at time of arrival to Protomotive)
ignition switch, coolant tank, power steering, drive belts, all (6) coil packs,
GT3RS clutch disck and Sachs 993 Pressure Plate, Clutch release bearing.
Cross Jic CoilOvers with Medium Springs, 993 adj rear toe links (for high speed stability) and Tarret adjustable front and rear drop links ($470+ install), along with adj H&R rear sway bar kit, 997 transmission mount,
AutoPower rear roll bar with removable cross bars, Simpson 5 point (red)
harnesses, Real Recaro GT3 seats with factory red seatbelts threaded thru
seats for ease of use.
Switzer Performance Innovations headers and complete exhuast ($4500)
COMPLETELY REBUILT GEAR BOX:
new main shaft with new 1st and 2nd gear, and new brass cone syncros
for first and second. Steel synchros for 3rd, 4th, and 5th. New assymetrical shift sleeve assembly. Rebuillt by Todd Knighton as a charity
project for me. (My cost $8100).
Car has B&M short shifter installed and EVOMS billet shift link.
The transmission works beautifully and has been flushed often.
(I also have new in the box, factory 997 GT3 shifter assemblyavailable)
Current tires and wheels are:
19" Champion RG19 Monilite 1-piece forged wheels purchased new with tires on them from Tire Rack for $5514 + tax and shipping. Wheels are straight and true with minor curb rash on one from parking in Houston parking lot after long day at TX2K8. Michelin PS2 tires with good tread
and even wear across the face.
I also replace all front brake lines (which requires removing front end of car) and added the BREMBO 6-piston 355 mm front brake kit. I run the street pads in them and at time of delivery, the rotors will be brand new.

Most of the Mods were completed spring of 2007 when car had about 40,800 miles on it, so it has been "PE 700" run on mostly race gas for
about 9,000 miles and the other 3000 miles or so have been run at 1.0 bar
on 93 octane pump. It runs, drives and behaves perfectly. I would sell it
to my best friend knowing that it operates at any level that it is asked.
It's performance is well documented with average "Porsche Club track driver" (ME).
1:52 at Brainerd on PS2's during a sanctioned PCA event, timed by them.
2:39 at Road America (PS2's not familiar with track)
traps 133-134.6 mph for multiple back to back runs.
190.743 at Texas Mile at 1.4 peak boost (October 2007)

It was tuned for 93 oct pump on low boost (1.0 bar)
and MS104 (99 oct race) on high boost (1.3 bar) by Todd K himself
on his dyno in the "frightening" Arkansas Mountains.
I run mostly Sunoco GT260 PLUS 104 octane and often run
on low boost when going from A to B.

$55 K firm, I may be able to deliver (costs extra)
No liens on car.

Best,

Marty K.

Marty, I'll bet you're sad to see her go. On the other hand, the opportunities, choices and fun you'll have shopping for your next car will almost make up for it. Not quite, but almost.

Good luck with the sale. That is one gorgeous car some lucky person is going to get.
