B&B Exhaust

Any of you guys have any experience with the B&B tri-flo exhaust on the TT? I know most of you have the Fabspeeds or Europipe exhaust, but I have heard the B&B on BMW's and they sound pretty deep and racy!

Any of you guys have opinions on the B&B?

Thanks!

I've got one on the M3 race car. It sounds decent and according to dyno tests, produces almost no extra power (2 ft lbs of torque) on a 98. That said, no other cat back exhaust did any better in dyno testing. It came with the car...so I'll keep it.

I also tried one on the TT. It worked fine up to 500 HP. Beyond that, it was much too restrictive and did not produce the power of the Fabspeed. FWIW, it is kind of "boomy" sounding from 2K - 2.8K RPM. Lots of resonance. It's then relatively quiet the rest of the time.

The B&B wasn't in Stephen's test but from what I hear it doesn't "fit" well and the few people that have had them have sold them on. Little power gains. Those are great exhausts for American cars (Vette's etc..)). If you're looking for loud and loadsa power then try Fabpseed or just ask Stephen, I think he sells a few different ones.

AeroTT,

Are you enjoying your new TT? It is a hell of a car with all those carbon bits!!! THe B&B for turbo is not that great as the resonance is too much to bear. My europipe is quite good and the resonance is at a bearable level.

I have the B&B LeMans system and like the sound. Not sure about more performance, but the sound is definitely louder than stock and no resonance. Also saves about 30 lbs. The fit is great. I've had the system on and off a few times and no problems with fitment. I had to modify the cats by indenting them where the flange slip on the studs. Simply dented an area behind the studs to allow for more wrench clearance. Hell of a lot cheaper than Europipe or Fabspeed.

I had the B&B triflo on my 01TT for about a week. It sounded awful, not much power gain and the check engine lights went off twice.
Switched to the FABSPEED and love it.

Had a guy follow me for about 10 miles yesterday to tell me at a stop light how awesome it sounded when he was behind me ( he was in a vette z06)<---- did I mention he was behind me ?
