Is your new tip modded or oem rebuild? How much tq & hp can it / will it handle?
Isn't your tq modded?
Thanks
Its basically an oem build... with a few tricks, but still nothing earth-shattering.
I forgot what T/C He is using, it is modded, though.

As far as power handling, the SL65 has around 740ft-lbs of torque, give or take. BUT, MB uses torque management during shifts and in 1st gear. Does anyone here know if Porsche does the same?
As with any high-HP car with an electronically controlled trans, software upgrades might be needed for longer life and/or firmer shifts.
Are these availible for the TIP?

Good question. One of the expert tuners may be able to answer that. Regarding mechanical strength, I found out last week that there is a tranny expert at MotorWerks Houston who knows how to beef up a tip. It's nice to have that available locally.
