looking for an X50

After our run to Ventura, I have not been able to stop thinking about a turbo. It may be time to step up

I have a few interested parties in my C4S. However the dillema wouldn't be with selling my car. It seems that X50's are now few and far between. Not to mention that the dealer that sold me my car is no longer in the business. After 20 years of selling Porsche cars, he now works for me

Any ideas on what a good price would be, how much of a discount I can expect, and should I even consider a low milage car? I'm planning on doing some engine tuning, Techart pieces and I'll probably keep my HRE wheels as well.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Food for thought, with the 997 turbo perhaps two years away, should I just wait? I understand that most if not all 04 turbos are sold and I would pretty much have to get an 03 from dealer stock.

That company called By Design Automotive had a black '03 X50 for around $107K I think. You may want to call them about it. Dupontregistry.com has a few listed for more $ than that. When you search just put X50 and then X-50 into the keyword search to cut through all the other P-cars.

I agree with watt, if you plan on modding smart money would be to find a low mileage non X50.

Don't bother with an x50...buy a regular tt,and do a stage4 upgrade!!!you will be a lot happier........you can buy an 02' with low miles in the 90's,and then do the upgrades!!

Andrew

So you think this is the better way to go? What is the cost of doing a Stage IV upgrade? Will the Stage IV rwhp be more than the stock X50 rwhp?

I figured that an x50 would be a better "base" to start with. I suppose that is not the case?

Doug,

It was only a matter of time

rockitman,

Very nice, but the car must be arctic silver/black. There is no room for 2 'black sheep" in this group ~ Alex already has the claim on that title

Best of luck Robert...Did you check the PNA site's used car search? I think I may have seen another X50 in a different color a couple of weeks back. Hope you find what you are looking for. Take care.
