Clutch Accumulator question

My clutch pedal gets really tight at startup and then while driving it feels close to normal. Does this indicate signs of Accumulator failure? I replaced my clutch accumulator about 4 months/4000 miles ago. Is it possible the same part is failing again? This replacement was done at the Porsche dealer and I am sure they bled the system well.

My Mechanic won’t be able to work on it till mid next week after warranty approval. I might go ahead and change the slave cylinder as well this time.

My question - is it okay to drive around this way for a couple of days or will it give up in traffic?

Thanks

OCTurbo is infamous around these parts
no problem driving it around as long as there is not fluid leaking from the front driver side resevoir. This would be indicative of a clutch slave failure and this fluid is flammable.

Had the same problem a few months ago. Keep the car close to home to be safe and carry a fire extinguisher if you must drive a long distance. OCTurbo is right the fluid is flammable.

Is fluid overflowing from the front reservoir?

can go bad and one symptom is orange (IIRC) fluid at front of car. For some reason in some clutch failure modes fluid accumulates in power steering rack -- I know clutch hydraulics use same fluid system as power steerting -- and it leaks out at front of car.

Sincerely,

Macster.

I checked for leaks under the car and around the reservoir ...no leaks anywhere. The pedal actually feels softer now and car runs fine. Not sure what the problem is ...i will get it checked next week.

Thanks everyone.
