I would never lower your car to GT2 Ride height. I hear it's really bad for 996TTs...

If you look at the suspension stickey above, there are specific instructions on where to measure and what the measurements are for accurate GT2 height confirmation... Measuring from the fender lip won't get you that info...

Mine is at 25 1/2" (GT2 +1/4"), no issues as a daily driver, no bump steer

GMG lowered it for me to "European spec". That's as much as I know.

The story I got was that when the GT2's got to the US they were "raised" by Porsche reps at the destination port because of the bumper laws in many states. Don't know if it's true, but my 2 is pretty low.

Larry,

I hade mine to GT2 ride height and was hitting the bump stops all the time. Made the car really funky in corners. But I have the PSS9's so if you are going another route it may not be an issue. The other issue is unless you have stock width tires it will rub the plastic fender liners. Or it did on my car.

Uhhhh? jeez, porsche even messed with GT2 height? I knew they had done that to the turbo, but had no clue they messed with the GT2 as well.

Larry, when I put my suspension together, I had the car lowered to Euro GT2 spec. Install at an indy. Corner at the local (DE/PCA friendly) dealer up in Harrisburg. Came out great. No rub, no issues, and it is "proper" looking to my eye. Given my roads and gas stations/driveways, that is about as low as I want to go. JIC cross, etc. Drives wonderfully dd and on track. Full soft JIC is pretty much perfect to me for my life.

Actually the GT2 vehicle height is still pretty reasonable – measurable as per workshop manual (between ground and bolts); 118-123mm (+/-5mm). As for the turbos; USA turbo is 158 and ROW turbo 138 (+/-10mm). The X73 is 128 (+/-10mm). PSS9’s have a lowering issue with bump stops at about 120mm ride height. I guess if you went 118 you were hitting bump stops. PSS10’s as per Bilstein have no issues setting to GT2 height. They told me car can go lower still but bump stop issue needs to be checked. When pushed on the matter they mentioned 110mm with no problems...

All I can tell you is that GT2 ride height – this is my ride-height now (for the ease of quick check) equates to roughly 638mm front and 642mm at the back measured from ground to top of wheel arch (fender lip). No bump stop issues whatsoever.

US conversion 25.1" at the front 25.3" at the rear; not far off US numbers?
