Hi Everyone,

Today I noticed something that I didn't saw when I first bought the car. It's a "remote looking" device attached on the bottom part of my steering column, from what looks like a **** control for a radar jammer.

I proceeded to check the front of the car, and sure enough, there was an attachment (see pics)

Can someone help me identify the brand of the device and how it works? When I turned the **** left or right, it started to beep.... (when it's at neutual as the position in the image, it stops) very confused here... Help?

thank you!!! it constantly beeps after i turn it on though....not sure what that means...

 

This usually means the module is disconnected (in the grill) or there is a problem with it... Check that it is connected well.

 

Looks like a flux capacitor.

anyone know how to tell if you have the unit with the laser diffuser or not?

my car came with the k40 installed and I'd curious what model it is...

 

The laser diffuser looks like the one pictured in the grill in the original post. The radar detector part is just a black box without any red pieces...
