Obviously the supercharged Cobra version...I can't believe without a license the salesman let him drive. Love the fact that he kept telling him enough, slow down and such..
I test drove a Turbo RX-7II back in 1989 on the 5 freeway and the salesman said oh, punch it open it up, I said ok, pulling off the freeway onto the offramp at 115mph he stopped talking and things got quiet suddenly..Hey, he said open it up...

Every salesman I've ever driven with told me to get on it and such. I think the vid is funny. You've gotta assume that any used 03-04 Cobra has probably done all those things numerous times before anyway. The burnout wasnt too excessive...if it still had the stock F1s, those things are so hard you probably wouldnt even notice much tread gone.

theres no reason to feel sorry for the salesman, he took a risk because he thought he could make money off it.

the reason people are fixated over this is that there really are *******s out there that go around with intention of damaging things that don't belong to them. in one form or another, for profit or for pleasure

examples,

the stolen wheels in this very forum, keying peoples cars, slashing tops/tires, throwing things in open convertibles, abusing test drive cars with zero intention to buy it

Most, Not all, salesmen will take your head off if they get a chance. If a mother or grandmother walked in there, they would rip her off on her trade, Talk her into somthing she cant afford, or lie about somthing to do with the car to get a sale. Then they go home and sleep like babies. I sold cars for a while, Trust me, most are *******s.

Man that was hillarious, plus the salesman was such a moron. It's weird though every time I have ever test driven a car(thats fast) the salesman always tell me to push it. Most salesman like when customers give them an excuse to go out in a fast car. I remember one time when I was driveing an M3 I started drifting around highway on ramps and the salesman was like "please don't kill me" it was sweet!

Yeah, letting the guy drive without a license was fairly insane. I actually had a salesmen whom I didn't know hand me the keys to a brand new 996 without even asking for ID! I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt and he didn't even accompany me. FWIW, I did buy 2 P-cars from them (1 new) afterwards.

ive been let out unsupervised in a 996 after telling the salesman i didn't have my license, YET.

bought a 986S the next week from them and another 2 years after that. in negotiations for a 3rd before i've even taken delivery for the 2nd one.

sometimes it pays off for them to give someone the 'benifit of the doubt' as it were

however, since most people in america aren't self concious, note the obesity plague, this fails most of the time., note the video.

Guys I hate to rain on your parade, but that video was fake. It has been circulating the cobra boards for the last few weeks.

It is pretty funny though. If I was the sales man, I would have whooped that guys ***.

I heard some people saying the same thing, but they all said it was because the camera man was outside during the burnout, but he was inside also, I assumed there was a 3rd cameraman.

yeah, Scott, there appears to be 3 people with him as he rolls up to the dealership and he also says "get the other camera" so I'm assuming there were 2 cameramen and the dude test-driving the car.
