Thanks for your info Junior.

Like the other poster, I'm also interested in:

"what bulb is the front turn, rear tail, and rear turn?"

If I'm going to order, I might as well order them all...

the turn signal bulbs are all 1156 equivalent...
the rear tail/brake needs the 1157 dual filament equivalent....
i didn't change the reverse and side markers 'cause the are always ON and doesn't really benefit from changing to an LED....

however, on the front assembly, the parking light should be changed to an LED bulb...makes it whiter, not halogen yellowish...

lights

Does anyone know of someone who can install some LED lights for me in the trunk compartment of my 996TT. I had to get up crazy early when I took my car to the body shop because the best rates my wife fould find on a room were in Richardson, TX and the body shop we used was in downtown FT Worth, TX. My appt was at 0730 and the drive is about 60 miles, factoring for traffic I had to leave when it was still dark so when I popped the trunk and saw no lights, I was caught off-guard. I am open to any advice or helpful guidance.

1. Daytime driving light (2) BA9s-WHP9
2. Side marker and dome(overhead) lights are the same (4) White WLED-WHP9-T
3. Side door panel (2) White WLED-WHP5
4. Front trunk (hood) engine compartment, middle dome light ,and license plate lights are the same total of (5) Cool White 4410-CW9
5. Reverse light (2) 1156-WLX3
Hey Junior, did you have to do anything to get those BA9s-WHP9 daytime driving lights in there? From what I've seen, the driving light is a BAx9s, which has the offset bayonet pins.... the BA9s from superbrightleds that you mentioned are the standard set pins.

either one will work with the bayonnets guys...

i thought i ordered the ones that have all 4 mounted on top but ended up recieveing the ones that look like a "mace."

the ones i recieved also did not have the offset pins. a quick dremel job of one of the nipples (pick one) quickly solved that and the mod is completed!

might i also add that since you have the headlight out at one time, getting all of the lights.

i converted the headlights to 6k's, the bulb is a d2s - 6000k lumens

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

the turn signals i converted to chrome tipped bulbs to eliminate the amber while not in use, bulb type is 1156

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

and the driving lights have already been discussed...

happy lighting!

White BA9s-WHP9 here's what it should look like!!!

It can be a little confusing thats why it took me three time to get right!!!

Awesome, thanks Junior.... Did you have to force the bulb in while twisting to get it in properly, or modify one of the bayonet pins like one of the guys above, who said he modified one of the pins with a dremel tool?

Reason for asking is that the BA9s uses the bayonet pins that are at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions, whereas the BAx9s (which is what the headlamp driving light socket calls for), uses bayonet pins mounted at, say... 9 o'clock and 2 o'clock...

I didn't recall doing any modification on those, just pulled the old ones and replaced them with the LEDS, I did recall the LEDS one a big longer in length so you have to kind of move it around to get in the little holes

If you guys think this is bright, wait until you see my dome lights
