Agency Power Boost Hoses

For everyone else who has a set of AP boost hoses, does anyone else notice the driver side not fitting 100%.

I got mine to fit but right where the hose bends, it gets a little pinched. I don't know if it would open up again during boost but it just doesn't look right.

Did anyone try cutting the hose a bit to try to get it to fit the way it should?

This isn't a picture of my car but if you notice right where it bends, it looks a bit "pinched" on mine.

Basically, my question is. Can I just trim mine so it fits right without any adverse affects?

I got the same problem. But did remove the clamp type, installed on the connector, and reduce the length and the angle a little bit and it fit better but not perfect. I have to admit I was not too impress with the installation of those hoses, especially the bottom left one and how tight it was to fit the aluminium connectors into the intake....

I'd expect perfection on my car....

Knowing Dan, he'll probably offer to make it right. I would NOT cut anything without his (or someone at Vivid) telling you to...

PS "Agency Power" is actually a brand owned by Dan @vidid. I am not sure how much they make there, versus what they order from jobbers, versus what they just re-label as "Agency".

Thanks for the feedback. Agency Power is a seperate company from Vivid. I do have stake in it. We design, test, and distribute all products from here in Arizona. Because of some of the confusion in our manufacturing, I have created this page - http://www.agency-power.com/blog/hows-it-made/. I invite you to check it out and learn more about the Agency Power product that so many 6speeders use here.

We manufacturer the billet end caps here and then own the mandrels which are hoses are made from by a company in California exclusively for us. We have probably sold over 200 sets of these boost hoses and they have been this way since day 1. When the car is under boost, that hose expands to full capacity. If your not happy with that piece, I can get you another one.

Here are some pics of hoses installed on other cars so you can see.

Wasn't one of the benefits of the upgraded hoses to not 'bulge and flex like those stock hoses to handle the higher power of mods'???

Also, anything that flexes will create a 'stress concentrator' where failures will be more likely. Not that these are failing, just an engineering principle.

The benefit of the silicone boost hoses is unlike the rubber hose, it will not expand further then its diameter. A rubber boost hose is like a rubber brakeline. Under pressure it expands. The silicone keeps its shape.
