Yup its here in Canada... The White TechArt 996TT. At first i dint belive it. But my friends showed me the Photo and they said it was in the shop getting the Motor Built... Saw it in person Today at the Local Tims we hang out at here in Greater Toronto Area...

His car was a a salvage yard in AZ for the longest time. It was finally sold at some point, and never to be head from again til today. Thanks for sharing the info.

 

Why was it Salvage?

I don't think it's title was salvaged. I mean it was at a dismantler yard.

It had a blown motor, and the motor/tranny were removed.

Yup.... I'm the one who imported it, very early this year. It was bought from a salvage/parts yard, but with a clean Arizona title (therefore a clean Ontario, Canada title). No salvage history, as the car was never written off to be re-branded.

I have done quite a bit to it, but it is not quite completed in my eyes. In the next week I will be changing out the whole interior for black since everyone knows it "had" a tan interior.... eventually I hope to get other wheels for it, and all the engine modding isn't quite finished though I'm hoping to have that part of the car completed very soon. In the mean time I'll just say it has GT28 Tials.....

Once I change out the interior and fix/replace a few items, I'll do a formal introduction post with pics at which time I hope to be able to get some help in regards to some issues I'm having with it.

Do you mind sharing with us what you paid for it? I'm just curious what a 996TT without an engine/trans goes for? Obviously, you're about to sink quite a bit of coin into her. But that's a BEAUTIFUL car, enjoy it and good luck!

Thats what i thought, if the car is not been in an Accident, there should be no Reason for Salvage... Anyways the car looks aswome... Are the bottles still in it? i think that Tan looks great, trust me Black is really boring

I think a car can be totalled even if it's not in an accident. I believe if an insurance company has to buy the car, it gets salvage status. As the relative cost of a new engine and tranny go up as these cars age, I can see how a car with major drivetrain issues could become salvaged. Maybe not, if they can blame it on driver error. I'm just rambling. Ignore me.

 

I will try my hand is 2 x the size since the surgery so its hard to shift, plus the car is still at Autowerks..HEHEHEHEH!!!
