Yeah this sounds really smart and insightful considering noone has diagnosed nor isolated the problem with the ECU, programming and such? Your suggestion sounds as objective and well thought-out as asking him to get rid of his Turbo immediately cause it's "unsafe" to drive on the track. Is this sound objective advice?

I agree with most of you regarding the poster who, way too quickly, solicitates for GIAC. Sounds too much like an advertisement and less like a plausable solution. I commend many who have responded as myself. Mark

You are a perfect example of why pricing is such a vital part of marketing... the more expensive it is, the more likely you are to buy it... classic. If you only knew the history of this discussion stemming back to as much as a year ago, noob. Not saying one is better than the other from a product stand point, but do some research... your comment underlines your ignorance of this subject.

I thank you for your insight. I really didn't think it was the UpSolute because I did not have the problem the last 3 times that I tracked the car. I had the MAF sensor replaced by the dealer 2 months ago.
My problem is: how do I convince the dealer that it is the ABS sensor, or anything else, other than the non-OEM chip?

And, yes, after my first surprise, I did pit the car when the lights came on. Unfortunately, I had to pit, turn off the car, restart and go out on track 2 or 3 times each run.

PS. Mark, Don't know if your remember me from from my 944 days with Metro, when you had the 911 with no rear view mirror. I still remember your comment that "I don't need one. Those that are behind me will always stay behind me".

Tell them that you when the ABS light comes on, your ABS also stops working... tell them you discovered this on a rainy day... worth a shot. I believe the ABS controller is seperate, so it should work.

I'm beginning to think that my PSM/ABS failures are actually brake related. I've had the Upsolute for a year and this is the first issue I've had with the lights. Right after a cold engine start, the ABS/PSM lights come on as soon as I touch the brakes. This is while backing out of the garage. Soon after warm engine restart, the lights come on again as soon as I apply the brakes. I was concerned about taking it to the dealer because of the chip and warranty isues, but it is becoming more evident that my problems are with the ABS sensor. Stay tuned....

As a future reference for people who will experience the dreaded ABS/PSM problem... keep in mind, there has been plenty of people getting the ABS/PSM light that does not have the Upsolute... and there are plenty of Upsolute people (Stage I) who have never experienced the ABS/PSM failure...

Check your: MAF, ABS harness, ABS sensor, boost leak, ABS error codes... very likely to be one of those.

I've now had my Upsolute program for exactly 1 year and 7K miles.
The car holds 1.0 bar at WOT with our crappy 91 octane California gas. Eyeball flattening TQ increase vs stock = big grins . No warning lights ever . Starts cold or hot instantly, smooth stock-like idle , throttle response better than stock at all rpms , esp when motor is warmed and has run for awhile , where the stock program felt most sluggish .
