Picked up 2001 996tt Longish

Car guy, like them all. Not totally new to P-cars just the later models and turbos. Had a 1975 911S and a 1977 924 many moons ago. Saw this slick silver beauty at a local car dealer that I had purchased a C32 AMG from this past February. Great people. Anyway I stop in to say hi and check out their inventory when in the area. They had this 2001 996tt for a couple months now and dropped the price. Couldn't help myself as they offered me a heck of a value for my trade in and it would save me a bunch in sales tax. Bingo it's mine. Sorta an impulse buy but what the heck, life is too short to worry about every little thing. Carfax checks out and it was just at the local Porsche dealer getting a "PPI" for an out of state interested party. Was a few things the Porsche dealer found that the used car dealer was going to correct, I put a deposit on it before the out of state buyer could. PPI items, rear tires, front brakes and throwout bearing. I popped for front tires at cost so it would have a complete new set. Car is great, a little high in the mileage department, 62K but the price reflected this.
Got a ton of questions, gonna do a few searches first so as not to bug everyone.
Been driving it daily for a month now taking it pretty easy. Was a nice cool morning on the way to work couple days ago so I take a little side trip to Mexico as traffic was really light and nothing but open interstate in front of me. Third up to redline, finally figured out how to show the boost gage on the OBC, WTF 1.2 bar. Fourth filling up the tach, looking at the spedo north of 140 now and seeing traffic ahead, took a quick glance at boost, 1.3 bar. short shifted into fifth and let car slow down..........

Think this may have had a little work done on it?

Thanks BlackHores, it looks like a great community.

Findings so far:
Good stuff.
Has to have a lightweight flywheel. Revs too fast and hard to modulate the clutch when taking off from a stand still. Smoked clutch a little trying to get it up on ramps. Trying to rev-match downshifts, engine goes up and comes right back down before you can down shift. Have to learn to anticipate. Noisy as all get out in low RPM low load.
Has to have a tune, just too much boost. Found a "pocket-power" module in the drivers door pocket. First I thought it was one of those 9V battery hookups so you don't lose your radio presets or trip computer when unhooking the battery. It has a OBDii plug though. Searched and found out it's a ECU flasher/storage unit!
Got forge diverter valves.
Turbos have K5324-101-5075 cast on aluminum compressor housings. Can't see any numbers or tags on iron turbine housing.
Has coil-over adjustable Bilstein shocks on all four corners.
Pulled off horseshoe in console and found a B&M short billet shifter.

Bad stuff.
Clutch has the clap, yes the dreaded petosin drip, drip. Still debating on wether to do slave and accumulator or GT2 kit. Leaning towards the GT2 kit. I suck the fluid out of the front resevior to the min line and put it in the rear resevior, about every 200 miles.
Car has died twice. Both times under load in 3rd around 4800 to 5000 rpm. Didn't notice a solid or blinking CEL. Just all dash lights on without motor running. Started right up after and no problems between events. Guess from searching it is a common symptom of bad spark plugs.

So can anyone help a newbie out, LOL.
Any idea what these turbos are?
Anybody know the Porsche tuner who uses/used the Pocket-Power?

Thanks a bunch.

Thanks Neil!

I DL'd a manual from them a while back. Unfortunately I can't get to the site right now. I remember their dealer page had one listing for the US. No web page, just a name and number. I saw the name here on 6Speed and he hadn't posted here in two years. Forgot who it was, now.
I was hoping there was a tuner on 6Speed who still used this or is offering it. Guess I'll go right to the source.

Hey Jorge!

Thanks, I still have your AW Exige as one of my wallpapers. Got rid of the 06 Exige and picked this up.
