Bose missing "mid-range"?
I just got my car last week. At first I thought it sounded good but then reality set in. I was just thinking today about the mid range. At least I didnt pay for the car and soundsystem at the new price!
and that became perfectly evident when I got in my car for the first time and turned on my "radio"....
If you change speakers, you'll still need to dump the BOSE amp because it has internal crossovers that are "optimized" for the BOSE speakers. You have an '02, so you may be able to tap an audio out coming out of the head unit to feed a new amp. 2003 and on have this stupid MOST bus, so there's only an optical cable connecting the factory head unit and amp. I'm assuming that there aren't any MOST Optical Digital to RCA Analog convertors out there, to feed an amp, or at least none that cost less than the car.
