I believe Al Norton uses this setup with Hoosiers... but I'll be using Nitto NT-01's, which look to be even wider than R6s, in 275! (10.91 section width for the 275/35/18 NT-01s, 10.7 for the R6s). I'll be using an offset of 45mm on the 18x9.5 rim or about 7" backspacing, in CCW speak. I'll know in about a week if this setup fits... Fingers crossed, or it's an expensive mistake!

I'm using -3.0 deg of camber in front right now, 2.5" diameter springs, etc... Might be able to do -3.25 if more clearance is needed, though I'm not yet sure. The inside of the fenders are rolled... though I can't flare them any wider than stock according to class rules.

Any words of warning before I let CCW start building this order tomorrow? =)

are you worried about the tire rubbing on your shocks with -3.25 camber?

Actually, I was more worried about the outside clearance, at the fender. =) But, I should probably check the inner clearance right now, also...

I mounted 265 PSC and 275 Hoosiers on 10 x 18 Fiske wheels. I got a ever so slight rubbing on the inside frame (about a 1" long area) by the back of the wheel when turning either right or left at full lock. We used 12.5 x 18's on the rears.

Yeah, I'll be at THill. I actually decided to order 265 PSCs instead of the NT-01s. I still have a lot of suspension setup to do, to get the car competitive again!

Where exactly is the rubbing you see occurring? Not quite sure where the inside frame is.... Do you mind sharing your wheel offset or backspacing specs? Thanks! I imagine that 10" width might be just over the limit of what can be squeezed in the front wheel well?
