Update: passenger side tube is collapsing flat under boost. Good news is that before it shuts down, torque is at 620lbs. Going in with a stint in that spot tomorrow.

Be careful with ANYTHING you put in front of the turbo or it will end up like my old 3071's..

Todd,
That is a problem with using the silicone hose that isn't reinforced and gets worse the bigger the turbo. The problem with putting a stint in it is not just worrying about getting anything sucked in the turbo it is that with that much length of hose it will probably get sucked in somewhere else. The Ford Gt's have a similar problem with the stock inlet after putting on a bigger Supercharger. You should see if you can get hard piping.Joe

Dan That part is not under pressure ......and not part of a boost leak test as it is before the turbos

question is can collapsing the intake tube and starving the compressor cause any excessive loads on the compressor wheel bearings? or anything else? that would cause problems.

also, how did you know this was happening? good to find out early.

That's right this was on the dyno. I was thinking on the road. Still, if those suckers weren't the color they are, you may not have seen them at all.

IMO, The EVOMS hard piping or equivilent is the only way to go on this mod. It's thicker and stronger than the OEM piping and quite larger. A very well designed piece that will survive intact over time.

another tip, if you have the room, is to use T-bolt clamps, NOT hose clamps. NEVER pop off and NEVER come loose...
