I was thinking of going to these guys to purchase my 996 Turbo.
They have very good prices and they apparently inspect the car very well and only buy good examples.
The best price I've seen for the recent sales list that they sent me to know what to expect, was $30,500 for a 2001 with 71,950 miles, Manual transmission, slate grey.
The next best deals I saw were:
2001 with 24,515 miles, manual, silver- $34,000
2002 with 15,373 miles, manual, slate grey- $37,000
2003 with 63,826 miles, manual, slate grey- $33,500
Has anyone dealt with these people before?
Thanks in advance.

never heard of them, but those prices are VERY attractive. As with any car, get a proper PPI done if you're really interested on the car. Good luck, if you go that route, let us know how it works out for you!
Be careful as some of those low low mile sales looks as if they come around as often as a unicorn. If it smells funny, looks funny, usually means something is wrong.
On the other hand 996 turbos are coming down in price but my experience is if you find one under $35K that is a manual in any color besides gray, then its probably because its got high miles or the seller is ready to move the thing for some strange reason.

It's been talked about at length on the forum. The stock headers are very very good. Aftermarket headers are only really needed once you start getting into the 650-700hp realm. There really isn't significant advantages with going aftermarket under those numbers. For the cost, the money would be better spent upgrading intercoolers or other mods.

I think you're replying to the wrong thread...
that's what happens when you've got two windows open at the same time. I need to cut back on my 6speed visits, it's getting to me lol
Essentially, these folks are an auto broker service. They go to auctions for you and bid on vehicles. In looking at the prices you posted for their recent sales, I'm wondering if that is just the auction price, and not including the auction fee, post sale inspection fee, shipping fee, reconditioning fee and brokerage (mark-up) fee. Just doing some quick math, those fees can run you another $5-6K from the auction price.
This is certainly a route to get a well priced TT. I think that there are other opportunities with private party sales though, that an auction doesn't lend itself. I think most private party sales allow you to speak with the previous owner, get maintenance records and get to know somewhat the history of the car. Yes, it involves more work for buyers, but that work is an educational process that I believe will benefit the buyer.
Just my 2 cents. I too am in the search for a TT.

You are posting the right question to see if anyone has used them before. However, if no one can vouch for the broker, I'd stay away. Quite frankly, bad economy or not, the prices you posted, are give away prices...which might be believable with a private seller with the bank knocking on his door...but sounds more like bait when coming from a broker/dealer...
If you are patient, the right car will come along on this board...and then you will at least know it was owned by a fellow porsche fanatic...my 2c.

So those prices in the OP are starting prices for the auction? They could go for more, plus the $2200 in fee's?
no, those cars in the OP are not for sale, they are recent sales in the past couple months.
