OK, 1st day with the ETX14. The only issue I can see is you HAVE to pay attention to what you are doing and always think about the battery. Sat all day yesterday and all night and had no issues starting, many times. (I always set the alarm!!!)
However, I had to work on the car at the track today and had both doors and rear decklid open for about 30-40 minutes and when I got in the car...click click click...Jumped it and made sure all the doors were closed all the time and never had an issue after that. It's very easy to swap batteries if I need to. If I know I will be going to the track or going out to the highway, I'll leave the little battery in it. If I am not going to be racing, I will leave the stocker in. IMO, well worth the 39lbs I saved.

I ended up with a GT3RS item, from dealer, looks very small but I'm sure it isn't cheap ($500+)!

Update!!!

OK, it's been almost 2 weeks now with dinky LW battery. My car has sat in my basement untouched for almost a whole week now. Started right up, no issues. Everything seems to work fine and haven't had any issues starting and stopping. As I said above, pay attention to when you are working on your car. If you have to work on it for extended periods (more than 20-30minutes) disconnect the battery.

My battery is EXACTLY the same battery except 1/2 the price of the Braille. Do a search.

You just have to find a terminal kit or fabricate something like I did.

What's the model or part number? Stock or modified battery bracket?

Thanks,

I have been running the ody 925 for about a year now. As a daily driver there are times where it can leave you dead in the field... As mentioned you have to think about your battery non-stop, when the car is off, no leaving headlights on for 5 minutes, no radio useage, ect. If i were to do it over, i would go redtop battery and save a few LBS instead of the worries and battery maintainer that i use. My two cents ...
