Exclamation cayman 2.9 vs audi tt vs 30k USD what would u do?

Hey guys, I am in Hong Kong now.

I had a 02 996 C2 heavily modded then a 06 Cayman S modded.
Currently, I am driving a 08 320i automatic ( it's really just a daily beater )
I am selling it to get

1. 2009 Cayman 2.9 PDK with 2150 miles on it. Center white console, PCM with sport plus package. 95kusd

2. 2009 Audi TT not (TTS) s tronic brand new with most basic black interior. 65kusd

30k difference i can heavily mod the TT 200hp engine and that FF probably can't handle the HP and even with bodykits and everything. It won't look anything like a cayman and it will never never handle like a cayman. But my current financial circumstance is not very well. Should I just say xxxx it and go for the porsche? I had two before and I wish I have one back. My biggest concern is I highly think I will regret if I get the TT and wanna sell it and still want a cayman/997.

what would you do if you were me? I am really sick of that 320i 4 banger

Thanks!

95% of the porsches here are tiptronic and I really hate it. I might give 05/06 997 a try. But again they are all in tiptronic Also 05/06 997 price are close to the 100k range but they are all parallel import and I find it risky. All authorized local 997 are pretty rare and expensive. (Also tiptronic)

LOL.. I heard you reference the Porsche a lot. Sounds to me like you are subconsciously leaning towards the Cayman and won't be truly happy without it. Consolation prize is they are both nice cars.

Agree with Buzz... Other than wanting it really bad it doesn't sound like you are in a situation where you have to pull the trigger right away. Look used and hold out until you find the right car for the right price. You aren't hurting while driving around in an 08' BMW... Just take the time to find the perfect car for you and save yourself the financial hit of swapping cars again 3 or 4 months down the line.

Either way, happy hunting and good luck.

its too hard for us to make this decision for you since we dont know your financial situations, and your values etc. if you want to save yourself the 30k, couldn't you find a used 2006 cayman s?

I think of used 06 cayman s beofre but they are all tiptronic. I just sold my 06 cayman s tip 4 months ago. If I get the TT I will be a lot easier but deep inside my heart I still want the P.

One of my friend have both car in Hong Kong, 06 2.0T TT (mod.) and 06 Cayman S manual. After he got the Cayman S, he just use the TT as a DD beater. It is totally different from Porsche, if you choice between those 2, go with the Cayman and you won't look back. It hard to found a manual Porsche in HK. My friend is selling his 06 Boxster S manual in HK. Let me know if you interest!

Your 02 911 would be a better choice than a TT, heck your old cayman S would be a better choice. Really if you get the TT you will have gone backwards in what you got. if you can't get the manual Cayman and don't want PDK, then wait. Better to wait than to settle for something you will definitely get rid of soon afterwards.
