every time i try to post a pic it sez my security token is missing.. any one know what a security token is???

 

most likely some setting in your browser...shouldn't be site related...I lost my token when I was 14

 

chuck it sends me to 6s email and sez it's beensent ther adminstrator

 

I don't know Steve, you shouldn't need a security token for this site, although it does require a cookie to remember who you are so you don't have to log in every time you visit...email me the image you are trying to upload so I can see if there is a problem...pm sent

 

Chuck, why don't the site owners upgrade the picture upload program so us ordinary people can upload pictures without having to go through this rigamarole all the time?

 

Larry, you can suggest that in the "site news and feedback" section if you like...I have never had a problem loading images either directly from my pc as expandable thumbnails using the paper clip icon or from my server using the postcard icon...what everyone should know is that bitmap images can be a problem...I always use jpegs and have no difficulties...bitmaps are easily converted to jpeg (I think even MS Paint can do it with "save as")...anyone experiencing technical difficulties can pm this fellow:

I posted in the feedback section and was ignored. I don't know a bitmap from a jpeg, or how to resize. But I'm sure one of the geek geniuses from IB could combine all these variations into a 1 click solution. Wish you would suggest it because they probably listen to you. Yes, I am a computer barbarian.

Me too, but as long as no one refers to you as a Luddite, you're ok.

 

ok, will do...some variations of forum software will resize images automatically but it would appear from the huge difference in image size we see throughout the forum that our software does not have that capability or it is not programmed for it...I'll give it a try

I will fix the issue, can you just trace me through your steps to pinpoint where you are trying to upload these images?

There are a couple of image upload areas on 6spd, personal albums, image attachments in threads and the old photo gallery. If you could please reference a url or something just to help me find it please.
