996tt stock wing Hydraulic issue
Just wondering if anyone has had this kind of problem and has a quick fix. The left hydraulic will not extend with the right side one. so basicly the wing is not extending on the left side >75mph. I took out the fuse to stop the extention fully for now until its fixed but what would cause this issue? Any help would be appreciated!
Mine became a bit inconsistent and I simply disabled it by pulling the wires in the rear compartment (after searching around here for a fix). My car had incidentally had the dealership repair/replace the hydraulic assembly in the past to the tune of $1300 and I have the receipt for that. At this point I'm happy with it staying down and not causing any CEL's to come on.
This topic has been discussed many times by the way, and there are some elaborate and less elaborate fixes mentioned. I'd recommend doing a quick search on the issue in this very sub-forum and you'll get a lot of posts to read through. Good luck!

Spoiler
Someone said a while ago that by pulling the fuse you will lose your front or rear trank/deck lid latch operation. I found some used with low miles for $100 and installed them myself in less than an hour.
What light?
I def. will read up, figured it was worth a quick post while im at work since its really bugging the hell outa me haha. The odd part was that it didnt cause the computer to think the wing was having an issue, only when I took the fuse out did the code get thrown.

Ah yea, it never went on as half extended maybe it senses off the right hydraulic for extension? I didnt even notice it until i looked in my rear view mirror and saw my wing was all fubar. Prob. made a few people laugh on the drive home hahaha
Same here. Left lower than the right. Black goo all over the rod from the weather seal. Cleaned it up and got a couple more months out of it. Left side stopped raising all together and pentosin coming out of bottom of cylinder. Unplugged wiring and got stoopid cell. Funny I could feel the difference above 85-90 MPH, rear felt a little squirrely. Took entire system apart. The hydraulic cylinder that actually does all the work is about the diameter of a pencil. Replaced guts with 8mm stainless threaded rod about 10-1/2 inches long. The tube fittings from the bottom are 12mm hex, the 8mm nuts are 13mm hex so the original caps fit right over them. Lost about 15 lbs in the engine cover removing pump, lines and cylinder guts. Rear feels planted and stable now at speed with spoiler up all the time. No cell as I left the micro switches intact on the right side. Really would like a GT2 spoiler, this will do until I get one.
I'd be happy to take pics of the guts if anyone would want them.
