I recently had some problems with my car making boost. Had several leaks, now repaired, and also had new plugs and coil packs. The car now makes 1.0 bar in 4, 5 and 6 gears. it maxes out at 0.8 bar in 2nd and 3rd. I am pretty sure that it used to make 0.9 bar in 3rd. Any thoughts on what is going on here?

The car has stock K16 turbos, K&N filter on stock air box, and a Milltek exhaust. The ECU has an Upsolute flash (from PO). Here is my thinking:

Can't be the ECU, since it makes 1.0 bar in 4, 5 and 6 gears

Isn't a boost leak, because that has been checked and rechecked.

Suggestions?

your problem is the program... when it gets cold they freak out.... your probably in limp mode... disconnect the battery for ten minutes....

 

If Marks advice does not fix it, I would consider getting a better ECU program.

 

I tried this, but it made no difference. Air filter was dirty, so I cleaned it, but that didn't help either. It will touch 0.9 bar briefly in 3rd, then fall back to 0.8 bar. Going WOT in 6th gear from 2k rpm hits 1.0 bar every time.

The Upsolute flash came with the car. I am not averse to changing it, but would like to be sure that there isn't something else wrong.
