cheapest is fm modulator...but quality sucks, particularly in large metropolis with many fm stations to give interference. Not recommended for this reason.

Consider spending $400-500 for Dension unit for direct connection and control of ipod thru head unit and DIY install. You will not be disappointed.

Nope...with your system you have MOST...the Dension gateway 500 is the way to go...I did it when it first came out and it was a bit cheaper, but it has been solid.

I just replaced my stock head unit with a nice Kenwood with adjustable display colors so it will match your dash lighrs. It has a iPod cable that runs into my glove box and also has Bluetooth which connects to my iPhone so I can make hands-free calls through a microphone and the stereo speakers. It cost around $300 bones, installed.

Too bad they don't cover the earlier cars. I have a 2002 and a 3GS so no solution so far. the iPorsche kit looked perfect but couldn't charge the newer iPhones last I heard and no updates in awhile.
