Need new clutch!! What do you guys recommend?

I have a 2004 996TT X50 with full mods. I am pushing close to 600HP. I have 15,000 miles and my stock clutch and it is starting to slip. I want to go a bit more agressive than the stock clutch but do not want to hear all of the chattering noise that I have been hearing about. What clutch and flywheel setup do you guys recommend. Thanks

I have a UMW SACHS based set up with 964RS and also have the evoms gt2 upgrade.

I'd call evoms, gmg, sharkwerks, and vivid and get some data. Jags might have a great deal - you'd have to talk to him about his unit if you were interested. My unit was plug and play for the mechanic as all the parts came in one box as a "package"...made it much easier than can be the case....something to ask about. It is now 3 years old and is fine....the market then was not as broad. It feels like a stock unit (ignoring the gt2 clutch upgrade kit to dump the slave and accumulator issues....).

ATS carbonetcis, I have been runing one for over a year. Excellent clutch. Will hold 800 whp/wtq.

I had this clutch on my supra, great performing clutch, you can slip the hell out of it on launches with no damage. But is was loud as hell, How is the noise on the 996?

And the grand daddy of them all (no poseours need apply):

+1 Really like my Clutchmasters stage 3 for stock like feel. This is good if you are not going crazy with power mods. Good for 700 CHP.

It is loud and does not feel like a stock clutch. But when it gets warmed up, you can not beat it for performance (unless you spend more money).

It rattles at idle. Makes no noise during engagement...it just engages. I'm on my 2nd one (2 different cars). I love it.

The break-in period is a PITA, though.

The clutch is an extreme overkill for my car, which makes around 580 HP to the crank (for now). I installed it 1.5 years ago when my stock clutch (with 4000 miles) started to slip in high gear and high boost post flash. This clutch just engages and revs quick. I have the 11.5lb LWFW.

Since then, I have put around 4000 miles on her. Unfortunately I do not drive my car as often as I may like to, thus my clutching from a stand still needs much improvement. Great clutch but noisy.

Break-in was around 800 miles.
