BS. C&D is getting damn near Enzo matching numbers out of the heavier 430 with 170 hp less. That's horseschit. Remember these are the same clowns that got 4.3 out of a 997 (a non S even if I remember)

Not to mention, 3.7 out of a SL600!

Supposedly, these numbers were obtained on the slightly down hill Fiorano straight. If I remember correctly, the Enzo trapped at 136 mph when running the quarter at Fiorano. Other tests put the Enzo at around a 133 mph trap speed, so if you knock two or three mph off that 430's performance and add a tenth or two to the time, I'd say you're pretty close to the actual numbers. I'd believe a 12.0 @ 119/120. The GT3 has run 118 mph in the quarter with less torque/hp and a similar curb weight.

I some how realllly doubt it ... If i remember correctly this car isnt faster than the its kindred the Challenge Stradale, and yet somehow the managed to get 3.5 secs and 11.7 in the quarter mile.
They might need to triple check those numbers, Car and Driver all these trigger-happy american magazines really need to get serious. I much prefer TopGear and Car or Evo for good info.

Those numbers are way off. The straight is not long enough to pull a 1/4 mile run, and it is downhill. Murcielago owners have nothing to fear. I do however admit, that i like Ferrari finally taking a step in the right direction.

Actually, the 430 is faster in a straight line than the CS. The Stradale is faster around Fiorano because it comes with R compound tires.

Since the straight isn't quite long enough for a full run, their computers calculate the final time/speed based on the car's acceleration over whatever distance they do have. Still, even with the computer's estimation and the down hill running, the Enzo's calculated trap speed at Fiorano wasn't that far off from other published quarter mile runs...133 vs. 136 mph. I would think one could use this knowledge to estimate the F430's performance.
