Question What mod next ?

What would be the next inline mod for my car was thinking K24/18G's , or would i be better to upgrade the coolers justnow and go for turbo upgrade later.

Currently have K24's,GT2 coolers, miltek exhaust and headers,d/v's,vivid intake and an unknown flash giving 1.1 bar.

Suspension - a good set of coil-overs, sway bars and end links.

I'd look hard at intercoolers or some way of increasing flow from the airbox or via fender intakes. You say you have Vivid's intake but that's not clear as to exactly what that is - filter box? Do you still have the stock intake piping down to the turbos? There seems to be some pretty good gains there and I'd bet you would see power without swapping turbos. Intercoolers might be my second choice once that was done or do both together which is what I'm contemplating once I figure out exactly which way to go - leaning towards fender intakes myself...

Its one ofthe vivid/ap twin box air filter intakes that is fitted, i have noticed a few threads recently about the gains from intake piping but didnt know if it would be as effective with just K24's fitted. I dont think i would do fender intakes due to the crap uk roads and weather over here, i would end up having to pull and clean the filters every other week.

What sort of difference is there in boost threshold between K24's and 18g's ?

If you already have K24's, 18g's is the natural progression. It will be very noticable, and that will give you more bang for your buck than all the mods you have now, as far as "seat of the pants" goes, and it will not cost much. I recommend you get a tune that you "know". I have an EPL tune with my 18g's and I am very happy. Many options here, do your homework. As far as boost, if you get the 18g's, you MUST get upgraded wastegates too, another couple hundred bucks, but worth every penny.

Talking

+1 for the 18g's.

With your setup, it is the most economical way to add HP. The next step after that, which you should always be thinking about when you spend money is meth injection, which is also a pretty good bang for the buck. In either step, you will need a new tune, which in my view is also critical. I don't think I would drive my car hard if I didn't know who did the tune.

Finally, if you really want significantly more than 600 whp in the end (if there is an end), then you should consider bigger turbos e.g., Tial 28's or something similar.

Thanks for the info what sort of awhp would i be looking at on 99ron (euro) fuel with K24/18g added to the mods i already have.
I know which company tuned my car and they are respected over here, but still not got in contact with them to find out who's tune they install.

First of all if you do not have the ability to tune that 18g turbo then stop... you cants just swap turbos and expect XXX flash to work.... you can hurt your motor... My business partner, not to brag but true, was the one who helped develop the k24/18g turbo with blauch turbo company.. that was many moons ago.. he also did the first know 20g upgrade as well which to this day is a very very fast car... with that said, we know what we are talking about... there are also a few other tuners on this site that have good k24/18g flashes... you may want to look into that....
If your looking for pure numbers then its the wrong way to start....
at 1.2 bar you will do 520 to 540 rwhp... but you also need a 100 cell cat or less...

Mark, is there a big difference in the spool time of a 24/18 compared to the old 16/24 or is that just set down to the programming?
