New Dyno Numbers!
New Dyno Numbers!
Well as many of you know, that keep up with my post, that I switched to a standalone computer that was custom wired/tuned by none other than the world renowned tuner Justin Nenni. Previously I was running a one-off EPL tune that did not use a MAF. My only reason for switching was the fact that I will be building my motor soon and shooting for some serious numbers. I am confident that Tony @ EPL would have no problem tuning, but it would require the car to be at his shop. Living in Texas, it is not so easy for me to just take the car to him. Another thing I wanted was the ability to have changes made on the fly (lets say if I'm at the track, etc.). Tony always has a file for me if I need something, but sometimes it's not so easy to upload a new one (due to not having internet, etc..).
Anyway so basically nothing has changed with my setup. Still the Boost Logic "Big Nasty" (as I call it) Turbo kit, BL 6" Intercoolers, BL Fuel System, 1000cc Injectors, Tilton Triple Disk, Straight Pipes (I have Switzer for street duty). The new edition would be the Tuning Concepts Standalone computer and 1lb more of boost (Sustained). That would make the boost about 27.3-5psi. We did dyno one time at the same amount of boost. It made about the same power as it did with the EPL tune, even after numerous pulls on the dyno.
Anyway here is the graph... Enough writing for me! Here are the SAE Numbers.

The dyno room was about 80*, weather outside 60*, and the car was not cooled down for the run.
Not that it matters, but here is the ACTUAL #'s it was making in those conditions.

I'm sure there will be questions for me that I may not be able to answer, but Justin and Zohair answer the questions.
Thanks again Boost Logic and Tuning Concepts.

Some may notice compared to the previous dyno is the lower amount of torque. Justin took some out to stop some of the major wheel spin issues I have when the boost hits.
Thank you Chris for allowing us the opportunity to build such a street monster for you.
I tried to limit the torque down low since Chris was complaining of lighting up all 4 tires on the freeway

Congrats Chris...I cannot imagine what 870rwhp at all 4 must feel like. I'm thinkin' permanent grin...?
Lookin' forward to seeing it at the next gtg...

140....keeping the torque down will (hopefully) keep your rods from bending.
If this motor holds together I may be persuaded to turn my boost up a bit. Amazing power level!
Sorry for the low guestimate...no disrespect intended...
