From R&T test. Much quicker than I expected... thought it would be closer to Gallardo's 4.2 and 12.2.

What are the exact specs on this car?

Horsepower?
Torque?
Weight?

The clutch needed to be replaced after that 0-60 run.... :-)

i think most of us have concluded the F430 with 170 less hp can't run with an Enzo even if R&T says so. Wasn't this the "downhill" test that wasn't even a full 1/4 but was "calculated" on a portion of one anyway.

C&D test has some caveats, including mentioning the track eases slightly downhill at the halfway point. I'm under the impression R&T tested the car at the same track (Fiorano) but they don't say anything about the track not being level. In any case, it's unlikely 0-60 would be affected since the first half is level. This is one fast car, but the Enzo and F40 will separate at higher speeds, and I think the test numbers show that (Enzo is 1.5 sec faster to 100 than 430, according to R&T), although I think the true 0-100 and 1/4 will be slightly slower than C&D and R&T test.

As well, I think it's hard to argue with a straight face that a car so down in power but weighing the same to slightly more, can hang with cars like the Enzo and CGT to 200 mph (or 100 to 200 or 100 to 150 or 150 to 200 - where the F430 no doubt gets bamboozled) because the only way they do it to 60, is if they shoot their wad with gearing. How else do you explain a car from the same manufacturer with the same redline, same shifting software, similar weight, but gross power deficiencies keeping up? I still call BS on the magazines or Ferrari for the car they sent.

don't all manufactuerers send tuned cars to these events? I'm sure Ferrari did a little work to this car to make it run a little better. Nothing sells cars or magazines like a new Ferrari doing 3.5 in the 0-60.

The kerb weight of the 430, listed on Ferrari's website, is 3,197...

Is the 3,500 the weight as tested??

Well, we don't know that yet. I'm eagerly awaiting the first test.
