997 turbo manifolds has better design than 996 Turbo.

I`m interesing how look installation? It`s bolt on modification?

Any dyno test?

Its not an easy Bolt on at all. There are a bunch of sensors that need to get remounted as the 997 manifolds do not have provisions for them as the 996 do.
I have been toying with it..

what about injectors fitting? 996 injectors fits bolt on inside 997 manifold?
Or modify injectors seats are necessary?

 

they fit but you need to customize a hold down or they will pop right out under load

 

I think the problem with modifying the 997 intake to fit the 996 will be its construction. If I am not mistaken it is made of plastic which could lead to problems when modifying it to fit?

996tt has injector manifold. 997tt has direct injectors in the head.

Not impossible, but extremely expensive.

 

interesting ive been told by two different people it bolts right up no problem that clearly is not the case!

what part numbers for the manifolds are you guys usging?
997TT or 997 GT2?

does anyone have some photos to back any of this up i was about to purchase one but if its that much trouble i dont know if i want to go down that road.

Rob Your correct. They bolt up but there is a bunch of fab work involved.
Sorry guys no pictures but if you ask Todd at Proto he may have. It not an easy bolt up and no BIG power gains

2010 is a whole different beast and comes with direct injection.
