Anyone have a good way to remove the stock wing without the special tool?

Many people use strap wrench. Mention here: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-bay-area.html

2LOW4 is infamous around these parts
Ditto! I just stuck a 1/4" drift in the hole to grab the aluminum "button" and then used a strap wrench on the cylinder.

1/4 drift, what is that? Is that basically just a pin? Have to get a small strap wrench I suppose.

Drift punch. It's the same diameter to the tip with no point. Pin or rod should work fine. I used an oil filter strap wrench I had, it adjusted down small enough.

Good Luck

Not sure what a drift is, but I used a countersink in mine and it worked. I bet a finish nail would work as well

I got it off with rubber strap wrench and a little screw driver. Now that I know how it works, I could do it in minutes but it took a little to it figure out
