If the F430 and the 996tt are both stock, from a stand still, in a straight line who wins? Would the stock X50 be able to win if the regular TT couldn't?

stock vs stock the TT is a bit slower.

While we are in theme, watch this....an UMW stg 2 TT can't beat a chipped M5.

something wrong with the driver if a 500hp turbo can't beat an M5. There are a few UMW stge2's in my area I also have a friend with an M5 and an E55 AMG. I'll see if we can set some runs up to see where they stack up.

I would think that a UMW Stage 2 would deliver more than 500 Hp to the wheels ... perhaps Kevin will chime in.

I have a UMW stage 1 and am at ~520+ at the wheels

agreed. In many cases it is driver error, shifting to soon starting at the wrong rpm, etc. I seriously doubt that was a stage2 from UMW. Might have been a stage 2 from imagine auto using UMW turbos.

From the video of the F430 vs the 996tt. If that was a Stock 996tt the X50 might just take the stock F430?

Agreed! Back in the day me and a buddy (member of 6speed) evo_911 did a pull , my FVD stg 2 turbo and his chipped m5, suffice to say from the jump to the end it was me pulling and pulling and pulling... Drivers play a HUGE role in getting these car's to operate optimally, something you rarely see done correct in these street/versus videos!

I don't know, but the 996 in the video has an exhaust, so it should be close to X50 power I think..

Wow...with the K16 turbos??

possibly. the x50 and the k16 car are both hampered by exhaust. X50 with exhaust would have a lot more top end and may be enough to best a 430. either one with a tune should beat a 430. Unless it is a scud. that one might be very close. the dual clutch tranny of the 430 gives it an edge over similar power 6 speed cars.

No - K24s (X50), with UMW Tune and Waste Gate Kit, Bosch DV, and EPGEN2 - Q

Thing is a flipping rocket - power comes on very quickly despite the K24s, and man does it build. Losing 75% of the lag was a pleasant surprise.

I can't imagine what folks are doign with another 100-200 HP above what I have - <Dennis Hopper>"Crazy man, just crazy."</Dennis Hopper>
