Christmas time...

My father just took delivery of a turbo S and I would like to get him a nice Christmas gift for the car. It already has a hard wired radar-detector, SSK, and what ever the ROW suspension is. I also drive a turbo car so I decided clearly he needs more power, and I was thinking about doing this with software upgrade. No my question becomes:

What chip/flash options are there? please no stand alone

Is there anything to gain by just switching the cats?

With a the new software will I need to upgrade feul pumps, DV's etc?

Oh yeah and what sort of power am i looking at? 500hp?550?

I read that whole thread and searched both Chip and flash, lots of opinions and oh wow this thing kicks *** but not a lot of discussion of: cost, actual gains (others than in boost levels), reliability, or supporting mods

Sorry, meant for you to see Jeff's info - he can explain everythign to you, maybe also ask him about turning the boost down (not sure if it's possible with a manual boost controller)...

I think the "which chip is best" question is probably always a hard one to answer - I know it is for my car.

Call Stephen at Imagine Auto for a Stage 3. You would then be at around 560HP at the flywheel and just under 500 at the crank... mucho better! What a great gift... the gift that keeps on giving. YOu do realize that you will have to get an Exhaust as well which I happen to have an extra FabSpeed if you are interested... PM me.

Thanks yeah I miss understood your post, I agree the which chip is best argument sucks, because people always argue infavor of what they bought.

I'll contact him about the chip, hesitant to change the mufflers though becuase of the increased noise level thats why I was looking at just the cats

prodrive,
where are u located?

Jeff is our GIAC guy & chip specialist. i trust pro

u can find our address under GIAC website with Torque-Factory.

there is really no ''best''. pro & con depends how u look at it. most important thing is the tech support & the service/warranty u're getting.

Spend a little extra dough and get PSS9's. Best mod I have had to date.

Also, shouldn't you wait a little while and put some miles on the car before messing with the ECU?

The ROW suspension is claimed to be better than the US spec and for the amount the car will see the track (maybe once a year) I just dont see the need for a suspension upgrade. the car should be broken in by now he has had it sice the 28th.

Does IA offer this at about $2000? If so, I'm interested.
