TT vs GT2 stock Exhaust?

Is there any sound/weight/performance improvement in a GT2 exhaust over the stock TT exhaust?

Exclamation GT2 stock exhaust

Weight is virtually the same, less restrictive and lower, louder & better sound.
Inside baffles have larger diameter for better flow and better sound.
Not loud at all, but you can hear it vs stock TT is a whisper.

go for a aftermarket sportexhaust....the gt2 exhaust is different but not worth to do it.....

to heavy, same cat and no real performance gain for your car...

I will hopefully have my new TT next week. I sold my C4S with the Porsche Sport Exhaust which I loved. I was really shocked to see the cost of the aftermarket exhaust for the TT's.

I would like a bit more sound but really want to stay away from anything that has the interior resonnance/droning.

Was wondering if the GT2 exhaust might get me there.

Car I'm getting has an FVD flash but stock exhaust.

If going through the trouble of taking of the stock exhaust to put on another like system I wouldn't got to the trouble. You can always just do the drilling of holes in the stock muffler, do a search.

Take a look here this might be what you are looking for: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...tein-pss9.html

Otherwise you might want to consider Speedtech's 2.5 "quiet" x-cellerator. They have a sound clip on their website for reference. John is a good guy, call him to see if he still has the special buy price on his system. Also you could MARKSKI to build you a quite version of his exhaust system. There are plenty of options. Do a search on exhausts and come up with bunch of recent info.

Hope this helps some.

X50 is the same as the stock TT exhaust.

Only the GT2 is a different exhaust, as mentioned above. It has one less baffle then the X50/TT exhausts.
