EDIT, Problem Solved: How do I access the luggage compartment with a dead battery

I've been struggling with this for a while and any help would be GREATLY appreciated. My '02 996TT has been sitting for around a month now and I'm pretty sure the battery's done.

First off, my Porsche trickle charger is locked in the luggage compartment so I'm S.O.L. there. I have tried the method of hooking up a battery and twelve volt charger to the fuse box and door jam with no luck. How else would I get this thing open to access the battery?

Note: I've looked over a couple previous threads on this issue and unfortunately haven't made any progress.

Thanks, John

Open the fuse panel on the drivers side (under the steering wheel) & you will see a red fuse head, pull it out & connect a positive jumper to it & put the negative jumper to the metal door latch. Now use the hood release switch like you would normally to open the hood(bonnet if you are European)

Thanks, John
You may need a battery as a small charger may not be enough juice to pop it.

If there is an electrical fault that wont let it pop, you'll need to take off the RF inner forward fenderliner, and there is a small braided cable up near the headlight. Snag it an pull to the right slowly.
Good luck.

I just got the 'frunk' open, thanks for the help guys. The jet ski battery I was initially hooking to the fuse box wasn't strong enough, but the battery from my M3 was
