How to remove the Lights dial???

I am installing CF vents, and I can't figure out how to take out the light dial so I can remove the vent.
Help is appreciated...

You have to take a small slotted screw driver and put it up in the small hole on the bottom of the dial's shaft. Do this while pulling it out, you have to push the metal tab that is in the slot up and it will release. It is easy once you see how it comes off.

It was actually pretty easy to do, here are my brief instructions:
-As said:Pull the the dial as far out as it can go (without turning it)
-Insert a small screw driver into the little slit that is now showing on the bottom of the dial.
-Push in with the screw driver till you feel the dial come loose and just pull it out.
-Then remove the metal hex. bolt (looks like a washer forget the name)
-Pull out the entire plastic piece held in by that "bolt"
-Behind this you will see a circut board (at least it looks like one), you have to follow the wires coming from this to the foam pad, under that pad is a connection, disconnect these wires and pull that "circut board" out.
-Finally you have to twist the big electrical thing sticking out the back to line it up with the slits and then it just pulls out.

Just reverse this putting it back in, its a piece of cake!!
Keep in mind there are 3 screws:
2 when you open the door on the side, and 1 is inside where you take out the light dial, and on the other side it is behind that filler piece.
I will post some pics on Rennlist tonight when I am done, have one more bin to do(Did Vents, Handles and Bins)

Really all of it is pretty simple if you take your time and have the correct tools.

Upper/rear consoles, vents, handles and bin covers were simple. The hardest for me was the defroster covers..

I haven't done the side vents, but I have everything else. Totally agree with Gary. The hardest part for me was getting the lighter out of the upper center console. Took me as long to figure it out as it did to replace the rear center console.

You had to remind me... That was the first piece of Carbon I added and I forgot about the lighter.... I had the same problem.. I was afraid to put enough pressure on it thinking I would break the old piece which I promised to Don in CC..
