with a cab you will need a lot more power than a coupe.

Has anyone in here ever done 190+ in a cab? I'd like to know how the top handles the winds at those speeds trying to rip it off the car?

EPL meth kit ~800 (may be a bit less)
Few gallons of MS109

That should easily make the power to go 200 in a standing mile and come in well under 20k if you are handy. Granted more could be spent, but you could also spend a lot less if the stars aligned, or much more if you opted to do new coolers. That set up has made more than enough power on the stockers though (730+awhp on EPL's mustang dyno)
You might hit 200 w/ good conditions AND excellent driving. Maybe....

To make sure, I would go 3076's....don't forget the headers and all adapters.....oil cans etc...realistically you will be in over 10K. Ben, and everyone else I know who has broken 200 in these cars has a full blow through intake system w/ 4.5 inch IC's. W/ all the extras (fender rolling for one) you are looking at close to another 10k.

Don't forget a triple carbon clutch, 4K. A member of this board had clutch problems in the middle of a run and you don't want that. And injectors alone are not enough, you need them (mine are 83 lbs) but also a secondary pump and fuel system....Meth is good for daily driving and the easy switch to beat-down mode when you run into the pesky Z06, but for a dedicated Mile car I would go C 16 and a proper tune, no less.

You can see how the bills add up.

op just wants 200, not 200 in a mile. I think 200 in a mile in a cab is a very tall order, when you consider aerodynamics and extra weight of cab.

I have visions of a house during a hurricane as the roof is ripped off!

Joking aside - knowing the Germans they have probably tested the cab up too if not past those speeds. Scenario - if you were doing 185MPH down the Autobahn and encountered a 25MPH head wind (not uncommon - could be caused by a passing lorry on the opposite carriage way for example) the car needs to be rated to take the overall loading yes?

I think the top speed of the cabriolet was 189 mph. I am sure that it can do that, but at those speeds every mph is huge.

I would think so. I don't recall seeing anywhere in the manual or on the hard top that says not to exceed a certain speed

I believe the stock gearing is rev limited to 190 MPH. You'll need at least a higher RPM limit. 7,000 or 7,200 should do it.

I imagine a chipped car with a raised rev limit with exhaust can get close to 200? But not in the standing mile.

Umm, I defiantly would be interested in hearing every little tiny noise including the road if I was going to go 200 mph, , lol...

I was thinking more along the lines of a convertible being a lot louder at high speed than a hard top.
