60-130 in car video of PBox
For my fellow tipsters: Here is a video of a recent 60-130 (6.7 seconds) run at the Lonestar. This is how the tip shifts MOST of the time. Only when I'm lucky will it lock in really well. And as you can see, the slow shift kills my time. This is from second gear and the second to third gear shift takes nearly 2.5 seconds. I'm not saying I could have run 2.5 seconds quicker, I'm just sayin....Looks like it starts to shift at 75 and doesn't complete the shift until 100. Reminder, I have done the TCU upgrade and a tranny rebuild along with a EVOMS Torque Converter upgrade.

Eugene, I'm thinking that I can only run 60-130's from third. Which is weird because before the tranny build and TCU upgrade, the 3-4 shift was bad. Now its actually pretty good.
yea, I should have posted that in the first place. I edited the original post.
I could actually do an entire 60-130 pull in 3rd. It just doesn't spool quick enough in my opinion.

Over the weekend I spent a ton of time driving one of the 720hp tip cars we built (with TCU mod). One thing I noticed was that if you shifted in "manual" mode...it was really tricky to time the shifts right, otherwise you'd waste a second or two hitting the rev limiter. The car would still be accelerating, but the shift from 2nd to 3rd would be real slow if you hit the limiter. You'd have to hit the button early to time the shift just right.
I keep listening to the video over and over....that shift just sounds so weird. Was it the rev limiter maybe?

Tom, would you mind taking some in car video as well, I would love to hear it shift. I was thinking about actually letting off the throttle during the 2-3rd shift and try to time the shift manually. Thanks in advance if you can do this for me.
You're in luck...it's not a PBox vid...but here's a quicky from this past weekend.
(hopefully this link works...lol)

Interesting! What are the time differences when you run from 3rd? Is it only happening between 2-3?
99% of the time I let it shift in auto.
from 3rd, the times are usually .5 slower.
