Smile Best turbos

Just a thought, i plan to modify my car quite heavily in the future but dont want to build the engine. What would be the best turbos to aim for? I thought k2420g but have seen a few reviews on gt3071 that seem promising! Is it worth going with the bigger turbos if your on a standard engine? Advice is appreciated, thanks

You'll have to let me know if you put new turbos on the car

It'd be interesting to drive them side by side to see the performance difference between the larger turbos and a stock set up

I can't imagine any car out accelerating a decent sport bike.

I do like the feeling though

I just put on the Alpha's 3071's and love the power, added a few more goodies plus EPL tune, lots of room on the table to add future mods, looking forward to Mod in moderation

Check on You Tube, there are many videos of modded cars laying the smack-down on stout sport bikes.

You only need 18g's to beat up on 600's & 750's. If you want the bigger bikes, you better step up to the Alpha 30's.

Not true in both cases.. we did the first k24/20g from my understanding 4 years ago.... cars ran a 9.9 1/4 with a good set up and excellent driver on C16. We also put on many GT30r type turbos... it comes down to the total system including the tuning....
Here , our 800 hp kit( and it does more but we limit it due to stock block) has turbos that spool up faster then GT3076rs and actually outperform them on dyno... runs 138 mph at 1.3 bar in the 1/4... all on stock block...
Bottom line, the kit has to be done right.... you cant skimp out on a clutch or intercooolers for example... do it right do it once... you will appreciate it later... I made many mistakes over the years as I was in your seat as well...
here take a look at this... on pump gas at 1 bar it does low 600 rwhp at 5K and maintains it... and low 700rwhp at 1.4 bar on unleaded 104 octane...

markski

Give the guys at Boost Logic a call. They use the new Precision billet turbo line and have the power market dominated at the moment, when it comes to the stock motor. 868rwhp SAE @ 1.7bar on a stock motor is hard to hold a candle to. When I can finally afford a built motor you will see them settle at one of the top spots in the industry as far as power goes. Building the fastest standing mile car in the world, fastest 6speed Supra in the world, etc. lets me know they have a clue as to what they are doing!

www.BoostLogic.com ... 512-371-9960 ... Tell them Powell sent ya!

If you want to be slammed back in your seat by loads of torque, these may be just what the doctor ordered...

My MKIV Supra wasted bikes and still on stock fuel system. My B5 Audi S4 with stock RS4 turbos, RS4 I/Cs, & tune walked bikes. My 911 turbo will wax bikes all day long. (After bolt-ons)
