PorschePair is infamous around these parts
996 turbo Factory Offset Info

We're looking to replace the factory turbo twists on our 04 996T - having a hard time tracking down what the standard specs on the wheels/offsets are so we can determine which wheels will work with our car and what spacers we'd need for them. Anyone know this info or point us to a site that would help?

I believe they are:

8x18 50mm, 11x18 45mm.

you can verify with the info stamped on the wheels themselves..unless you have owned the car since new you can't be sure they are the original wheels and I would verify with the stamps on the wheels

Chuck gave you the correct offsets for the stock wheels. Many go with smaller offsets on after market wheels in order to push the wheels out so they fill the wheel well better. Best to check with the wheel professionals about this.

Factory spec is 8" x 50 and 11" x 45 for the TT and 8.5" x 40 and 12" x 45 for the GT2

Both proven sizes with no rub (if you roll the rears like the factory does with the GT2)

You can go with 8" ET 50-35, 8.5" x 40 (with 225-245 make sure they're the same height or very close to your rears on an AWD setup (height differs by brand). I have a set of 9.5" fronts coming hoping to go with 265s. Lets see how they fit

11" from 45-25 offset (with 295-315), 12" from 45 to 38 offset (with 315s)

Ari the 265/35/18 fr with a 315/30/18 r would be pretty much a perfect match if they fit. Keep us posted.

They should fit...i've done it with HRE. If you need any little spacers like 3-5mm to get the fit right let me know.
Good luck!

anyone know if you can get a 335 out back on a gt2? w the factory 12" et 45 maybe with a slight spacer? the factory rolls the rear fenders perfectly probably with a machine on the assembly line...so outer rub should be ok w camber gain its the inside I am worried about....
