Do you guys get 'harassed' everytime you drive your car? (and other good car stories)
I can't even get a minivan to taunt me. Hell I had some new '10 Camaro SS flying up through traffic then caught up with me, paced me for a half a sec.... Then ends up getting behind me slowing down. Guess the straight pipes kinda scared him off! LOL!
I'm wondering how other sports cars are going to react when they see my car on BIG drag radials and front runners. You don't ever see that, esp in this area LOL!

I don't get it down here....did in Pennsylvania. In this location, there are a large, large number of cars that end in y, n, and i on the road....so my car, wing and all, is not that noticed. Those who do, like it. Or, the wing just freaks them out as it is clearly functional, along with the tow gear front and rear....
Not sure, but I seem to just stay clear of anyone who seems aggressive or I just drive slowly and let them go by. When I have done that, twice now, tickets came to them. I must admit, I like to wait for the radar detector to be going off when I let a jerk pass me at high speed. Seems that ka band is a good bet for this sort of thing.

You got your point there Scott

You got me. I think I know what the N and I are (ST"i", Neo"n", Evolutio"n"?)...but I can't figure out the "Y".

Had a '10 Camaro SS come up on me today as well. Still had the paper plates on it. He backed off the same as your guy did. Weird..

Bentley

Lambo...
I am in S. Florida now...had an amazing job switch. KPG helped me move....
99% of those guys in those cars don't really know what they have, I suspect.
Guys leave me alone because the car is set up for the track and, I suspect they respect that...and they have all those other targets to harrass. There are a number of techart'ed 996tt's around here too...it is amazing what is on the road here. I feel relatively plebian, and I like it that way. There is this one guy who drives a classic daytona ferrari all the time...Miami Vice car...but real. The lambos abound and are parked curbside here and there. It is surreal. I drive a beat up truck too...a lot. It is so flat and strait here that I save the p car for track and gt work.

But as far as I remember, it was only kids. Not adults like in my P-car.
"Kid Rock".

Wow..I was way off, ha ha.
Nothing wrong with feeling plebian. The older I get, the more I seem to prefer that as well.
I had some moron harrass me the other day - I was driving down the freeway and passed a beat mini-pickup. I exited and stopped at the traffic light only to have this guy pull up next to me. I caught movement out the corner of my eye and turned to see this older guy with a mullet, yelling something at me. I waved him off and pulled out on the green (normally).
He kept following me for another couple miles - I stopped at a station to fill up and he pulled in next to me. We both got out and he started in again - I asked what his problem was and he reached into the tool box in the bed of his truck and pulled out a pipe wrench. He said something about "schooling me" and I casually walked over to the Police Officer sitting in his car about 30 yards away.
I told the cop what was going on - so he pulled his patrol car in front of this guy and his truck. I waited off to the side for a few minutes while the cop and Mr Mullet had a conversation. When the cop waved me over, he informed me that this guy admitted to the pipe wrench and that he had a couple strikes against him already. He went on to say that if I wanted to, I could have him hauled away for brandishing a weapon. I gave the guy a break and told the cop I didn't want him arrested.
The cop made the guy apologize to me and told him that he needed to stay calm but to take off. He also said that today was his LUCKY day since I didn't want him hauled away.
After he left, the cop said the guy must have had P-Car envy. The cop complimented me on my car and told me to have a good day.
That's the only harrassment I've experienced, all the other times have just been thumbs up and compliments.

G and I ALWAYS got harrassed everywhere we went in our Supras. When we were filiming for Mischief we had a clan of rice rockets (10-12) follow us off the highway even until we stopped at a gas station. We "split" up and met at the party a few minutes after. In the Supra, S4 and 996tt Ive even been followed to my street a couple times in the past 5 years.

I'm really glad it worked out like it did.
