996TT service manuals...

Are there service manuals available for the 996TTs and if so, where can I obtain them?

Thanks.

There are, and you can get them from Porsche, and they are
very expensive, like $300 or so, I hear. I wish Porsche or
someone else but them online.

Yes Indeed

You can pick up the complete 13 volume set from the dealership for about $750 or so... then you can pick up all the supplements required to bring them current for another $100 or so... then you can spend another 15 hours putting all the supplements in the manuals.

When you purchase the set from the dealer... it comes with the initial release documentation and ALL of the supplements from day one in cardboard boxes... stacks and stacks of stapled or loose sheets (a few thick yellow page phone books worth) which you then have to assemble into the final product.

I've got a complete up to date set and it required an amazing amount of time and money to bring it current, but it has paid off a number of times already since I do all of my own work. The good news is that when you order the manuals and add all the supplements, you end up with manuals which cover all years of the 996TT.

If you are a gearhead kind of guy... get the manuals; you won't be sorry.

Get the manuals from my-prosche .com

I just got a complete set with updates ... yes it does take hours to put together, 4-5, not 15. The price is about $575.

You can also subscribe to service data at www.alldatadiy.com. The information is not as complete as the Porsche manual set but it's pretty good.

Bad news. They have been backordered for months and they don't know when they will be available again.

Periokid

I can show you my invoice and packing skip if you would like. Why would MyPorsche say that? Something weird is going on here.
