Advan Neova AD08 ??'s

Looking at purchasing some new tires shortly. Car currently has the OEM spec Potenza S-02A's on there but I've read some good things about the Neova AD08's and am considering a switch. They come in the correct sizes for an OEM match (overall diameter on both the front and rear is 25.0", and the static radius on both is 11.7"), so there should be no issues with the diffs or fit.

My only concern on these is the speed rating of W instead of Z. Am I being overly cautious on maybe switching from a Z rated tire, or is it a legitimate concern? I do around 5 autocrosses a year and a couple of track days, as well as daily driving the car.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

have always used these on the street and they are great. Using them now on the 996tt. no issues with sidewalls. hard braking, hard mountain runs, highspeed highway cornering - OK, but i dont autocross.

Tire Rack has a good write up on the AD08/RE11/Star Spec. I personally like the AD08 it is a good multipurpose street/track/autox tire. The other good thing is the 295/30 18 is as wide as most 315/30 18.

Good stuff. I had hoped for some good feedback on these tires, and that's what I'm hearing so it sounds like the way to go.

Just ordered these myself, were delivered today. Talked to Damon at Tirerack and he had nothing but good things to say about the tires.

That's correct. AD08s came out early 2009. AD07s were before that.

I am leaning toward these, as I love my Sumi HTR ZIII's, but I want more tire for DE now...

Yeah, these seem to be a great way to go for a DD but also some track days and autocross. I had the Nitto NT-05 previously on my EVO X and they were great, but they don't make the correct size for the rear tire, so I'm going to go in this direction and give the Neovas a shot. I always loved the Advans that came OEM on the EVO's, they were usually toast in 5-8000 miles though!
