Anyone know where I can get this driveshaft part?

When I took out my driveshaft I noticed that this rubber coupler was torn. I want to see if I can purchase it alone without having to buy a whole new driveshaft. Please tell me the name of this part and where I can purchase it from. (Sorry for the crappy phone, pic)

Thank you.

Vince

Yeah I can't find it on there either. I don't want the whole driveshaft just that part.

You have to get the whole shaft. At least I did when I wanted just that rubber part due to a crack. I found someone that went 2wd and got a slightly used shaft cheap.

+1 on this..

Just need to find a person with it removed. If you get in a bind try calling LA Porsche Dismantling. They're not cheap, bu they have almost anything you can dream of.

Same as Mitsu Evo.. When the Fluidampers crack its time for another shaft or at least a clean used one..

Q

Just replaced the flex disk/guibo disk on my 2002 996tt. Got the oem part from KO Performance in Florida. Part matched exactly, made in Germany. Part was about $70. The bmw part others suggested was not right. Hope that helps someone.

Nice detective work...I have been combing the parts catalog with no joy. Can you dig out the part number? I have my motor out now and noticed mine was cracked as well. Much appreciated

AHHHHHHH!!!! Where were you about 2-3 weeks ago! I just spent $600 on a completely new driveshaft because I couldn't find a place to just sell me the flex disc to replace my cracked one. Not checking with my 6speedonline brethren before buying a future needed part is a mistake I will not make twice! Oh well...... I now have an expensive peace of "art" to put up on my garage wall. Glad to see that Vince will be avoiding my costly mistake.

Same here. I ended up with a used 997 turbo shaft to get the part.
