Was this the same one that had RPM stickers all over it? If it was, my buddy in a black Z06 with intake and tune raced you and pulled away?

yes, it had RPM stickers on it. maybe the Z06 pulled on it back in the day before the last rebuilds and mods. doubt the Z06 would hang with it these days...unless there is more than intake and tune?

the z06 now has intake, exhaust, tune, lighter brakes, tranny mount, the driver is 130 pounds and drives the hell out of the car

Your buddy must have been on the same stuff Lennon was on.... I remember that night in Deer Park. Your buddy wouldnt race from a dig, the only pulls they did were from mid range speed (maybe 50 mph) and he would shut down before any distance could be made. The red 996tt still pulled in front, but before your buddy started to get spanked he let off the gas. This happened several times...

I am sure if you contacted the owner of the Red 996tt he would be thrilled to run again with your friend.

I just wish when people are shooting and editting the video they would leave the stupid music out of the final cut. We ( I ) want to hear the car; like at the start up.
Back to the car, it looks awesome. I take it the exhaust is catless and is tucked around the engine straight off the turbos? Regardless how loud in the car is it? Can you talk or hear the radio?

RPM did the PPI on my car when i bought it, and my buddy hitched a ride while i handled the purchase.

When I saw it the interior was mostly out, and the car was just built for speed.

ive been in that car several times
and have seen the many stages of evolution this car has been through

there is no way that a z06 with any sort of mods will get near this car
the interior is gutted.

the red car is fast as hell

i hear you...it was my first time editing and for the life of me i couldn't figure out how to lower the volume at certain parts...for neither the video or music. i def need an actual video camera, video editing program, other than windows movie maker, and lots more time practicing.

the car isn't gutted at all. it has seats, carpet, all consoles and panels, full dash, working radio and working a/c. when i think of gutted, i think of all or most of the above missing.

Thanks for the reply. When I saw the bumper and exhaust I thought " this should sound great " then couldn't hear it very well due to the music.
Thanks for posting the video, that car is really awesome looking. I look foward to seeing some more of it.

If I knew how to block the plate on the video, I would've. But since the owner wasn't driving, we never went above the speed limit, broke any laws its not incriminating anyone in any way.

thread revival here, it was a year or two back now, that car has beaten a lot of stuff it shouldn't have but its more a testament to the driver. That z06 has pulled against a zr1, should it have ? absolutely not, was the driver of the zr1 good, id say not at all.

LiNKs please elaborate what stuff I was on...

Who goes to DPA and races anyway?
