Why i hate where i LIVE!
oh man. i remember years ago the QEW down by fort erie was our high speed runs lol. **** was like the autobahn and NEVER any OPP(ontario provincial police) sadly those days are long gone but its def for the better...
I figure if I keep pissing off Canadians, then they WON'T figure out how great it is down here, and stay up there! We don't take kindly to whiners, here in Texas!
It's part of what makes it so great down here!

.... Don't worry there's nothing like home, but I have to admit sometimes warmer climate can be appealing. I did not drive my car since november. I am sure you feel sorry for me
Of course, my sympathies to anyone who does not get to fulfill their "need for speed". My p-car has been down since the week before Thanksgiving. Parts, delays, parts delays, parts delays.
Which is why I keep a small fleet of motorcycles in the garage! When I can't go fast on a road course, I get at least one day a week on the local motocross track.
That's why top teams are based in warmer climes . . . 365 day driving season!
You Canucks can keep your cold . . . I got riding/driving to do!!!

It depend of the province Steve but here in Quebec we got it since 1971....
Trust me as soon as my wife says ok. I am out of here! The biggest for sale sign ever on the lawn!
I agree that the punishment is getting worse for excessive speeding and speed contests. I live in Denver and got pulled over screwing around with a friend in our cars. The cop impounded both our vehicles and wrote us 12 point tickets. He never clocked us, but he didn't need to for a speed contest ticket. It wasn't even a "streetrace", but here it is considered to be any display of speed or horsepower. I will be the first to admit that I was driving like an *** and deserved to be pulled over and a big ticket. I did not however expect the additional $4500 to get clear of it all though. Denver has a nuisance abatement law that allows the police to impound your car and file a civil lawsuit against you. This is in addition to the 12-point speed contest ticket. So I had to pay for a lawyer to plee the civil suit down to $300, however the catch is you cannot plea this in any less than a month. So your car is sitting in impound collecting storage fees in the meantime. Then you pay the $300 settlement and pickup your car. The cost to get my car out of impound was $1000. Then after all of that you go in for the ticket. I got 24 hours of community service and a $300 fine. Needless to say I don't get tempted by those ****y 19 olds in STIs as much as I used to. Be careful out there. In California they can destroy your car too.
