When is this happening, I hope this doesn't turn into one of those 8 page treads with no end result. I wish I had a zr1 I can run against win or lose it'd be fun. How much money is he trying to bet, do we need to start a collection?

First of all I truly love the GT2. Animal of a car that oozes beauty and class. Another dream car I hope to own some day. With that said my wife could drive the ZR1 better than the autocar goon. They had the same "driver" problems with the Z06/GT2 test I saw last year.

Should have been a much closer run from a standing start even without the available launch control standard in 2010. Obviously the guy driving the ZR1 doesn't have much seat time and his shifting had ALOT to be desired. Maybe the autocar guys are just simply use to right hand drive cars I don't know.

I agree that the 997 GT2 having better rear weight bias and MPSC's should get the initial hit but the ZR1 with a very capable 3.4 sec 0-60 should be right there. Not what it showed on the vid.

Plenty of other vids I could pull up that show a different outcome but I'll spare ya'll...

Being a friendly race I'd give it your best shot then ya'll go celebrate with a cold one (or two) for owning 2 amazing rides...

LOL...I figured you'd poke your melon in on this sooner or later. I'll spare you the extra girth of your already swollen head.

Keep your mind out of the gutter Paulie...

it's really up too him. He wants me to put up 500 I am trying to bring that down to 100 that way it's no big deal win or loose. I will still have fun. However 500 will sting a bit.

I give a slight edge to the Z but a great driver that knows his car can make huge difference if he is sitting in the TT.

So I been looking up what stock 0-150mph for a zr1 is and it looks to be about 17.1 seconds. I had a run of me going up hill (30 feet or so) from 0-150mph and my car was doing it in 16.1 seconds and this was before I got my car retuned. So I should be somewhere in the 15 second range..not sure if this is fast or not for our cars but I dont see how a pully will make him 2 seconds or so faster to beat me. I am setting up a place and a time. I will bring a Go-pro digital camera and post up the results.

Does anyone know if 15 seconds is a respectable time for our cars modded? If you have a V-box run of your 0-150 please let me know what you are running.

Thanks.

A pulley and tune with exhaust brings the 0-150 down to 13.9 seconds.

I just checked my Texas Mile runs and found one for 14.9, but I wasn't really trying to kill it out of the hole. No traction at the Mile at the starting line. (4.3 0-60 and 0-100 7.6.) (I have done 3.5-3.6 0-60's, but I have an extra pedal)
Is your tranny still having issues? Racing isn't gong to help that and no one wants to hear any excuses?

Paulie, your GT2 is quite alluring, appealing, charming, delightful, eye-catching, glamorous, elegant, exquisite, glorious, resplendent, splendid, statuesque, sublime, superb, flawless, perfect, radiant, ravishing, sightly, stunning, gorgeous, handsome and a complete knockout.

That should cover it...
